Choosing and buying a stethoscope is a very sensitive decision because it’s an important piece of equipment to carry out tasks in the medical field. Here are some things to watch out for while you want to purchase a stethoscope.
• It should be easy to use and clean
• It should be able to measure vital signals appropriately
• Make sure to check that it's made from a durable but also flexible material like polyvinyl chloride
• Ensure the cost isn’t too overboard, consider a budget for your purchase and stick to it
• It should have a flexible diaphragm and tunable chest pieces. The chest piece is part of the stethoscope placed on the patient’s body
Here are some things that are required to be in any test kit
• Stethoscope
• Pulse Oximeter
• Thermometer
• Blood Pressure Cuff
• Penlight
• Ophthalmoscopes and many others
A diagnostic test kit can also contain reagents and other items necessary to conduct a test to detect the presence of microorganisms in any sample.
Many factors can affect the results of a urinalysis, here are a few things you should not do before the test.
• Don’t take alcohol, coffee, tea or tobacco
• Stay away from strenuous exercise for 24 hours before collection and up to collection time
• It’s best not to consume avocados, bananas, eggplant, pineapples, plums, tomatoes or walnuts for 48 hours before the test
The test results could also be affected because of some medications and supplements like metronidazole. The sample could also get contaminated with germs or other microbes during sample collection.
Medical personnel use urinalysis to monitor or screen for some health conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, and liver disease and also to diagnose Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Diagnostic testing is now a very important test for diagnosing and monitoring disease to provide prognosis and help with treatment responses. A test kit is therefore needed for proper diagnosis at least at the preliminary level.
A urinalysis may be done for the following reasons:
• As a routine medical test to check for early signs of some diseases
• To check urine for the presence of red and white blood cells
• To monitor treatment for diabetes or kidney disease
• To diagnose a urinary tract infection
A urine sample must not be stored for longer than 24 hours. The bacteria in the urine sample can multiply if it is not kept in a fridge and this could affect the test results.
For the best results, urinate about 30ml to 60ml into the collection container. Carefully ensure the urine is clean and safe from contamination if you have to deliver it to your medical personnel.
