1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Mediworld Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our UK operations by 2035, well ahead of the UK government’s 2050 target.
2. Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline Year: 2024
Our baseline assessment includes Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from our UK operations, and we are in the process of refining our Scope 3 assessments in partnership with logistics and supply chain partners.

3. Current Emissions Reporting (2024)
There has been no material change in Scope 1 or 2 emissions since our baseline year. Scope 3 emissions are being actively tracked and refined.

4. Emission Reduction Targets
We aim to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 45% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2035. Interim targets are as follows:
2025: All UK warehouse energy from certified renewable sources
2027: 100% recyclable packaging and zero-waste operations
2030: 45% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions (vs. 2024 baseline)
2035: Net Zero (all UK operations)
5. Carbon Reduction Initiatives
To deliver on these targets, Mediworld is undertaking the following measures:
· Energy Efficiency & Facilities
o Upgrading to LED lighting and low-energy appliances across all sites
o Installation of smart meters and automated energy usage monitoring
o Transition to renewable electricity in offices and warehouses by 2025
· Waste Management
o Achieved Zero-to-Landfill certification (2024)
o Partnership with First Mile Recycling and others for closed-loop waste systems
o Paperless office and digital invoicing operations fully implemented
· Logistics & Distribution
o Working with UK logistics partners (e.g. Royal Mail, Parcelforce) committed to Net Zero by 2040
o Shipping consolidation and route optimisation to reduce freight emissions
o Exploring electric vehicle use and carbon offsetting for last-mile delivery
· Supply Chain & Procurement
o Engaging suppliers on emissions tracking and reduction
o Embedding environmental criteria in supplier onboarding and review
o All primary suppliers to have sustainability policies by 2026
o Working towards Scope 3 reporting across all Tier 1 suppliers by 2025
· Certification & Monitoring
o Actively working towards ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification (target: mid-2026)
o Annual carbon emissions audit and update of this plan
o Transparent publication of impact data via our website and ESG reports
