The i-STAT 1 Downloader/Recharger (DRC) is a versatile device designed to recharge the i-STAT 1 handheld's battery, whether inside the analyzer or in the DRC's recharging compartment. It automatically recharges the battery upon placement in the DRC. Additionally, the DRC converts infrared test data from the i-STAT 1 into electrical signals for transmission via USB or network to the Data Manager, and it can send customized settings from the Data Management application to the i-STAT 1 via infrared transmission.
