An emergency trolley should contain:
- Airway management equipment: Oral and nasal airways, laryngoscope, endotracheal tubes, suction apparatus.
- Breathing equipment: Oxygen with delivery devices, bag-valve-mask (BVM) resuscitators.
- Circulation equipment: Defibrillator, ECG monitor, a selection of intravenous fluids, IV cannulas, syringes, needles, and a tourniquet.
- Drugs: A range of emergency drugs such as adrenaline, atropine, amiodarone, and other cardiac drugs, along with analgesics, sedatives, and drugs for rapid sequence intubation.
- Miscellaneous Supplies: Dressings, gloves, scissors, tape, notepad, and pen.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) equipment: This might include advanced airway devices, cardiac pacing equipment, and emergency medications.
