Mediworld is a London based supplier of medical products including test kits, stethoscopes, thermometers, medical scrubs, hospital gowns, mobility equipment and face masks. Established in 1973 we supply medical equipment to members of the public and a wide range of medical practices including hospitals, clinics, GP surgeries, medical schools and care homes.
We are searching for a talented Social Media Intern to create and maintain a strong online presence for our company. Mediworld is evolving, and your role will involve implementing online marketing strategies through social media accounts.
Social Media Intern

As a social media Intern, you will gain experience managing our organisation’s social media platforms. Your primary duties will include writing posts and crafting captions, creating social media campaigns and performing research for the social media team. The platforms will include Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
The primary goal for the intern is to support the Commercial Director on a day-to-day basis across a multitude of tasks. Each day will bring a fresh new challenge, and an opportunity to help grow the business further. We have high targets to hit next year, and want to bring on someone full-time to help us achieve those.
Once trained up, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of these channels.
Key areas of responsibility
Working closely with the Commercial Director, responsibilities could include:
- Crafting social media posts and captions, and updating the social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc)
- Increase engagement and target new audiences through social media campaigns
- Carrying out research for team projects
- Sharing related content from partner brands and organisations with their social media audience
- Analysis of social media numbers
- Visibility on customer feedback and maintaining communications online

Prior experience with marketing or social media is preferable, but not a necessity.
Location: This role is both home and office based; our HQ office is based on Streatham High Road, with our digital team working in a WeWork in Central London. This role will require you to come to the Central London based office to work with the Commercial Director.
Holidays: 25 days, excluding bank holidays, plus Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve off
